LIVE YOUR PURPOSE: GO BEYOND!

In a world that tells us our purpose is defined by our achievements, relationships, or wealth, life can often feel aimless and exhausting. But God reminds us that our purpose was never meant to be shaped by the world's definition of success. Instead, it is anchored in His greater mission for our lives. Through Abraham's story, we learn that true fulfillment comes not from chasing our own ambitions, but from faithfully embracing God's purpose and sharing His love with the world.

BELIEVE AND OBEY

God made a promise to Abraham, and Abraham responded with both faith and obedience. He trusted God's promise even though he didn't know where he was going or what the future would hold (Genesis 12:1–4). Whether it's receiving Christ, stepping into ministry, or following God's leading in another area of life, faith often calls us to obey before we fully understand.     

ABRAHAM’S PATH WASN’T EASY

Following God's calling didn't mean Abraham's journey would be easy. He experienced famine, conflict, and loss. From a human perspective, many would have given up. Yet God is greater than our present struggles. In His perfect timing, God fulfilled His promise and made Abraham the father of many nations (Genesis 21:1–7).

PERSEVERE

Abraham's life reminds us that God's purposes often require perseverance. He uses trials to strengthen our faith and deepen our dependence on Him. When His promises seem far away, God lovingly reminds us that He is always with us. We can continue trusting Him because His plans and promises never fail.    

SURRENDER

After God gave Abraham his son Isaac, He asked Abraham to offer him as a sacrifice (Genesis 22). Abraham's response reminds us that we may not always understand God's purposes, but living for Him requires obedience and surrender. Often, God asks us to lay down our ambitions, comforts, and fears so that His greater purposes can be accomplished through us.

GO BEYOND

God didn't bless Abraham for his benefit alone. He intended to bless the entire world through him. That same heart is reflected in Jesus' Great Commission, where He calls us to share His love with people everywhere (Matthew 28:19–20). 

Today, millions of people still have never heard the good news about Jesus. That's why we are called to go beyond for others. Whether by praying, giving, serving, or supporting those who are sharing the gospel, every follower of Jesus has a part to play in His global mission.

LIVING YOUR PURPOSE

Like Abraham, we were never created to live for ourselves. We were made to be part of God's greater mission of sharing His grace and redeeming love with the world. As we trust Him and surrender to His will, we discover the purpose He has always intended for our lives. 

May our prayer echo the heart of those who have gone before us: that Christ would be our Savior, God's Word our guide, His people our family, and the whole world our mission field.
